How many of you know about neuralink?
Elon Musk along with his co founder developed a brain implant, with the help of this implant one can communicate with machines and even control them.
Doesn't it sound interesting? Like a Science fiction or as Tony stark asking Jarvis to perform something?
It is designed by Elon Musk's new startup company neuralink.
Last week in an online presentation Musk shared updates about the implants. He said Neuralink is developing to connect human brains with computer interfaces via artificial intelligence.
The in brain device enable the person to control the technological devices such as phones and laptops to be operated by their mind.
Musk claims to solve neurological disorders such as memory loss, blindness to paralysis, depression and brain damage.
The new design of the chip is simplified to a large sized coin which goes into the skull.
It would be physically unnoticeable and can be charged inductively, in the same way you charge your devices wirelessly such as smart phones or smart watches.
The implants are inserted perfectly by automated robots which are designed by US design company by woke studios.
The robots are be able to insert the link in an hour without general anesthesia and moreover the patient will be able to leave hospital on the same day.
Elon Musk said, "We ultimately want this robot to do essentially the entire surgery – so everything from incision, removing the skull, inserting electrodes, placing the device and then closing things up,"
The chip is tested in the pigs. Musk in the presentation showed that the pifs are happy and healthy.
Neuralink received a Breakthrough Device designation from the FDA in July.
The startup "Neuralink" is now preparing for its first human implantation but still pending required approvals and further safety testing.
About the startup: Neuralink
Neuralink is an American Company and was founded in 2016 by Elon Musk, Ben Rapoport, Dongjin Seo, Max Hodak, Paul Merolla, Philip Sabes, Tim Gardner, Tim Hanson, and Vanessa Tolosa.
The company was aiming to make devices that can cure brain diseases quickly with eventual goal of human enhancement.
Musk said his interest in the idea partly stemmed from the science fiction concept of "neural lace" in the fictional universe in The Culture, a series of 10 novels by Iain M. Banks.
Musk defined the neural lace as a "digital layer above the cortex" that would not necessarily imply extensive surgical insertion but ideally an implant through a vein or artery. Musk explained that the long-term goal is to achieve "symbiosis with artificial intelligence.
Such implants could change the way we see to nature. It will be amazing inventions for science and technology.
But after all the data, we can conclude that the days of bringing the fictions true is no longer waiting.
The dream of working as the fictions character Tony stark aka iron man is no longer waiting.
Humans will be now able to communicate with devices through their brain.
